Matt's graduation party day. Aunt rose had been making some snacks and other things to eat to take over to my cousins house. We got there in the afternoon time maybe around 14/15.00 at the same time that pretty much all of the other cousins arrived. I got to meet the cousins on my uncle Tommy's side of the family, I had never ever seen them before and to be honest I didn't even know about them. We all sat outside for a bit, had some beer and some nibbles then most of us young ones went inside to watch the third and fourth play off of the world cup, Germany were playing Uruguay. After about half an hour into the game the food was put out on a table for people to help themselves to. I was hungry but didn't want to miss much of the game, it was really exciting, very very open, it was really hard to tell which side looked better. At the end of the first half I went up to get food, most people had helped themselves by now so there was no queue and not too much choice as most of it had gone. I took a lot of the little there was left, got a beer and went back to my seat to watch the second half. The game was a good one, one I would have to say that I would rather watch than a Spain VS Netherlands final tomorrow. Back to the party and desert was being served now, some cakes and other sweet things. For some reason it didn't feel strange that it was Matt's graduation party and he was hardly about, he was out with some mates, came back went upstairs and then disappeared again. I used to be exactly the same and still am to a certain extent, I don't like having family parties on my behalf, its just an excuse for friends and relatives to see each other when they wouldn't normally find the time to do so, worse still if it is a party that you really don't want to have. I keep hearing how Matt is never home and he doesn't take part in anything family orientated, he is young and likes being out and about, I'm sure when he gets a bit older he will start to see the value of his family. We played some more FIFA, as Tommy didn't have to work tomorrow we played for most of the night.
