When I got downtown I still had some time to kill so I went for a walk looking for bars, I ended up getting a little bit lost in the village as there is no grid system down there so you need to know where you are going or at least have a brief idea of the street names and locations. I had neither so ended up roaming around not doing much or getting anywhere. When I overheard a couple of rich type city women discussing sex and the city, they were talking about the street that one of the characters lives down. It was right opposite where we were standing. I walked down the street, it was a really beautiful place, all the house looked old and well looked after, the pavement had trees all down it, it just looked very picturesque. Even better, right at the end of the road was the Hudson river. I made a turning on one side street and got lost again, I ended up finding some bar called 'the Slaughtered Lamb' after the film 'an American Werewolf in London', it is the pub the characters go to the night they are attacked by a werewolf. The bar seemed okay, I only stuck around for one as I was put off by the $6 a pint price. I had a nice long chat with the bar maid about differing topics, mainly the fact that I'm trying to do a lot of writing and she was a struggling actress. It was soon time to go and meet Paolo so I paid up, left the bar and went in search of the wine cellar Paolo worked in. I couldn't find it for the life of me but remembered him saying that there was a huge Apple store opposite so I went and sat on a chair outside there reading my book until he called me.
