The room I had was on the top floor and didn't have any air conditioning or anything and it was in the middle of a really big heat wave so the temperature was unbearably hot and humid. I had a fan and had to fiddle around with it to get it in the best position to cool me down. I finally put it on the chest next to the bed and had it pointing my face and upper body. It worked though, at least it meant I could actually sleep in the unbearable heat, I wasn't comfortable but could sleep.
