After I ate my food, I went to my room and met a few people in there, there was a Danish guy named Chris and a couple of northern English lasses. The girls were going to go up the empire state building and wondered if myself and Chris wanted to go, I was actually really up for it because last time I was in NYC I didn't get round to going up as the weather was so bad. Also it was night time and I would get to see New York from up above at night with all the lights on, I have to admit I was actually really excited so decided I was definitely going to go with them. Plus they had no idea how to get around New York and I had been here before and I knew it quite well, Manhattan at least. We got the subway there and it didn't take too long, I was very inexperienced with the New York metro so presumed that it would take nearly as long as the train I got to get up to Harlem, I was wrong, the number 2, the train I was supposed to get was an express train and it took us to Penn station in about fifteen minutes or there abouts. I knew roughly where the empire state building was so I led us in the direct, soon enough we arrived, I was pretty pleased with myself the fact that I somehow knew where it was but hadn't actually been there before. I find that I have a good way of navigating using land marks, especially sky scrapers or other tall buildings. In London I can navigate my way around by using Centre Point or the BT tower, if I can see them, I know exactly where I am and where I am or should be going.
