Just as I got to the edge of the old city it starting pouring with rain, not heavy just really wet. I had never seen anything like this before, it was like the storm in Cuba but not as big rain drops, it was like a fine mist had completely filled the air. There was no escape, it seemed everywhere you went that was outside you got wet, even if it was completely covered. It was madness and it went on for about five minutes. I found a little bit of shelter underneath the awning of the Hard Rock Café. Once it stopped I walked on only for it to start pouring again, this time I just walked through it as I couldn't possibly get any wetter than I already was. When I got back to my hotel room, I changed my clothes and went back out for a walk, it had cleared and if you weren't outside or hadn't been told about it you would never had know that there had just been a massive storm. According to a local these are common storms, apparently they occur relatively frequently along the east coast of the states.
