From now on when we went to watch a game of football we went to a bar around the corner just off Magazine St, one of the cooler roads in the garden district of New Orleans. The bar was really cool. They had daily promotions on beer, lots of TV screens and they had some games tables. They had this game in there called 'skee ball'. Skee ball has an alley where you roll a wooden ball down over a ramp and aim to get the ball into different scoring holes, fifty being the highest score but most difficult to get and ten being the smallest scoring but easiest to get. I straight away set the record of two hundred and sixty, nobody could even come close. Then I smashed this record and got two hundred and eighty. The game was so addictive, every go you wanted to beat your highest score or whatever score was already on the board, very very competitive, and it only cost 25c per game of nine balls. The bar had two pool tables that only cost 75c so to play a game of pool was fun and cheap and the table was a million times better than the one at the hostel. Compared to the table at the hostel in LaPaz it is like the greatest table ever. We played a few games, best out of five the English versus the Australian's, of course the English won every time.
