I was being cheap and decided to get to Philadelphia the cheapest option which ended up being by Greyhound bus, I had over ten stops passing through a total of twelve states including Louisiana and Pennsylvania. I got my ticket and itinerary at the Greyhound/Amtrak terminal, then I sat in the waiting area for my bus, I only had about twenty minutes to wait so I didn't bother doing anything too time consuming. When my bus was called I got in line and went to board when called forward. The bus itself wasn't too bad, I was led to believe that greyhound buses are really bad, uncomfortable seats, no space and not much else going for them. I thought it was pretty good for a bus, it definitely wasn't luxury but it was a lot better than some of the buses I have had in South America. The ride was quite comfortable too. I had two seats to myself until one of the several stops. A whole load of people got on and the bus was now full which was annoying but I sort of expected that to happen. Some of the stops the bus made were short, simply to let a few people to get on and some to get off. Some of the stops everybody had to get off the bus and wait in the terminal for up to an hour or two.
