The bar was called 'the Irish Pol' I found a piece of paper with it written down and I double checked it online. I remember saying that I would send them a bottle of Fullers Vintage Ale, was talking about it for a proportion of the night before. I managed to secure another nights stay at the hotel so had the whole day worry free to enjoy, another thing was that it was beautifully hot and sunny, a perfect day for a walk to the museum to see the Rocky steps and sculpture. I walked all the way to the museum and had a look at the architecture and other works of art along the way. I really like the buildings in Philadelphia, they have a much older feel to them, and they are made predominantly of brick so are much more solid to those in other places I have been. I saw the impressive city hall building, and walked right through it as it has an open walkway with construction work going on so you can't really see anything. I walked past the first temple (at least in the states) of the Freemasons. The building had a massive spire with engravings and all sorts all over it. It was a very grand building with huge windows and high ceilings, marble and guilt edges. It was very lavish indeed, made me want to join the Freemasons just so I could go inside and have a look around.
On the route to the museum, I walked down the main road and the sides had flags of the world along it, I don't know if it had anything to do with the world cup or if it was just a coincidence but it looked good and I got to see the Italy flag right at the front. When I got to the museum, they had a Renoir exhibition, I'm not the biggest fan of Renoir and there was a cover charge so I didn't bother going in just walked around outside. There was a big queue by the Rocky sculpture so I waited for it to get smaller or go. Soon enough it went and there wasn't anyone around so I used this opportunity to take some photographs of it. It was donated by Sylvester Stallone after he obviously made his fortune from the original Rocky trilogy and thought it only right to honour and pay respect to his home town in the films. After that I walked back to the old city. On the walk back, on the same road was a complete replica of the Auguste Rodin museum with a couple of Rodin sculptures in it. I sat there for about five minutes to get out of the sun and take a breather, it was so hot and getting really humid maybe a storm was a brewing.
