Both of the other guys in the room had come to New Orleans in search of work along the Gulf coast to help clean up the oil spill, the worst oil spill in US history. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was gone (asleep I mean). The hostel had a free breakfast of 'all you can eat' pancakes from about 7.00am till about 10.00am. I woke up early, had some pancakes then watched TV because the world cup was on and USA were about to play England. The game was actually the afternoon game so I had some time to get things done, I needed to do some shopping to buy some food supplies and drinks so I asked where the nearest supermarket was and it ended up being a Walmart superstore about a five minute walk away, perfect.
