The walk was pretty cool, it seemed to keep going up and up, when we got to a point that looked to be the highest, another one appeared in the distance, that was then the highest and so on, this pretty much happened the whole way, we just kept getting higher. The walk was claimed to be about three hours but we were storming through it, I never knew I had so much endurance, I am always short of breath but could just walk and walk forever. We got to the midway checkpoint at about forty minutes. It was so hot and sweaty so I took my top off, once again I had forgotten to bring my sun tan lotion so didn't have anything on, It felt okay, I didn't feel as though I was getting burned.
After about an hour and a half of walking we arrived at the town on the south side, we were so early and I was starving so I got some food, we shared a beer, met some English girls travelling alone and joined her at the table, we had the beer and food, chilled out for a bit. I had trout again, why not, when in Rome eh! (I say that because lake Titicaca is famed for its trout)
