The way to Cusco was unbelievable, I never knew Peru was so beautiful, it has rolling hills, luscious and green, going on and on into the distance. The hills are like domes of varying shapes and sizes all covered with soft, thick green velvet. With the sun shining over that back of them they are stunning. Nearer the cities the mountains and hills look as though they have been covered with a green patchwork quilt of varying shades, most probably farms. It is the first time in south America I have seen fast flowing rivers that are wider than a few metres, it is a great site, making me feel a bit happier about it here, the desert was so harsh and boring that it sort of made me want to leave here and go more north more quickly.
