We had arranged to go to Isla del Sol at 8.30am the next morning, get a boat to the north side of the island, walk 7km to the south side and get a boat back to Copacobana at 16.00. we all managed to get up in time, get ready and go down to the dock to catch our boat out to the island. The boat we got into was completely full, the weather had taken a turn for the worse and it had just started to hail really heavily, thank goodness I had bought myself a waterproof jacket a few days before in La Paz, it was very needed. The boat was so damn slow that we literally got over taken by every other boat, we were the first to leave and the last to arrive, we had arrived so late that most of the other people from all the other boats had gone off to start the walk from north to south. The boat must have taken about two hours, it was ridiculous. My belly problems were still persisting so I ran off and went to the toilet, it wasn't at all pleasant but had to be done, given the circumstances it wasn't as bad as it could have been. We were all sorted, some old man had just explained that we would pretty much need to pay for everything on the island, we had to pay to get here, had to pay to go to the north point were there are some Inca ruins, pay to walk along the foot path, and pay to get to the town on the south side. Pay pay pay all the time in Bolivia, even though it is still ridiculously cheap, you need to pay for absolutely everything here.
